Accessibility
Accessibility statement.
This statement applies to mpw-culinaryacademy.com. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this site. You should be able to zoom to 200% without text spilling off the screen, navigate most of the site with a keyboard, and read it with a screen reader. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
How accessible this site is
We know that some parts are not yet fully accessible:
- the month-by-month programme timelines are driven by scrolling and are difficult to use with a keyboard or a screen reader (a “Skip to outcomes” link is provided before each one);
- some decorative text has low contrast against the background;
- most of the site needs JavaScript to display its content (these legal pages do not); and
- some pages use animation as content comes into view. Animation is reduced if your device is set to prefer reduced motion.
We are working through these.
What to do if you cannot access part of the site
If you need information from the site in another format — large print, plain text, an accessible PDF, or a conversation by telephone — email mpwculinaryacademy@tlc-uk.org and we will provide it within 10 working days. If you find a problem not listed here, or think we are not meeting accessibility requirements, please tell us the same way.
